Gap between grapling/wrestling matches

If you are new to wrestling then it is normal to feel pretty battered the next day. The more you do it, the more your body gets used to it. I usually wrestle for 2-5 hours and will be sore the next day, but not debilitatingly so. A couple of years ago I went to a 3 day event and I thought it would be a real shock to the system, but I did ok :-)

Normally wrestle for two hours. But I think as I'm not used to using some muscles it takes a while for me to recover. The aches normally start in the morning after waking up. I'm going to do weights to help strengthening muscles and maybe work on flexibility but not sure what I should do.

Depends how long and how intense that match is. Assuming a match is a couple of hours then am hour is usually enough of a break then I am ready to go again.

I can usually fight again within a few hours.

Do you do any exercise other than your wrestling meets?

How long do you leave before each wrestling meet, it normally takes my body around 1 week to fully recover. Sometimes can have upper shoulder problems or lower back.
